In 1823 Hōitsu Sakai authored a picture book entitled Kenzan Iboku (i.e., Ink Traces of Kenzan). It included pictures originally drawn by Kenzan Ogata (1663–1743) who was the younger brother of Kōrin Ogata (1658-1716). The book’s eighteen pictures of flowers and (or) birds are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it.
